Core Tools

One clear step at a time. Small tools, plain language, built to become habit.

More tools will be added over time. Core Tools is free for life.

Focus a moment. It can save a life.

A safety plan is a short, personal list you write when you're steady, for the moments when you're not. Your warning signs. What helps you settle. Who you'd call. Where you'd go. Ways to make your surroundings safer.

Maybe no one has ever asked you to make one. This is us asking.

You don't need to be in crisis to make one, and you don't need to be sure you'll ever use it. Having it is the point, like knowing where the exit is before there's ever a fire.

Watch the video (1:24). Then, if you're willing, take five minutes and start yours. You can work on it with someone you trust or a care professional. Keep it where you'll find it, and come back to it as things change.

Save it to your device. Nothing you type is sent to MHC.
